Hello everyone!
Well, my new companion (like I said before) is from Hollister, California. He's on a mini-mission with me. Elder Annias was transferred because he needed medication asap. They diagnosed him with a minor form of autism called 'Asbergers'. But the doctors thought it was schizophrenia. The past 9 weeks with him were really hard; athough we did have two baptisms together. So our area pretty much tanked over the past several weeks. The first day Elder Nicolayson got here (my new comp) we had a random lesson with an inactive member (Sis. Carr). She said "I have two kids who are 9 years old and need them to be baptized". On Oct. 15th her kids, Makayla and Nickolaus Carr will be baptized. The blessings never seem to end!
I will most likely stay for another transfer because our mission president does not 'white wash'. So, 10 1/2 months shouldn't be too bad in Gilroy. I think I'll start a career and establish my good name here in Garlic City.
So that's just a little bit of what has been going on.
But true, this past general conference was one of the greatest since I can remember. The words from each talk spoke to me. I made sure to write detailed notes.
Tell Ryan I pretty much never played a single down in football until my Jr. Year; but whatever makes him happy. I never regret playing football. I LOVED it!
Thank you for who you are and all that you do. I love you so much and pray for you individually every night. Keep the faith my family.
The Gospel continues to spread forth. We as members of the Church are the way our Father in Heavens' children can access the Atonement. It is through us.
Love, Lance
